Privacy notice
How DemoVault handles the information that comes with opening a demo link.
Who operates DemoVault
DemoVault is operated by Xylem Vue (Xylem). It lets Xylem Vue and its partners share application demos with customers through links that stop working after one month.
What is recorded when someone visits or opens a demo link
- The time of the visit.
- The IP address of the device.
- The browser, as the browser reports it (its user agent).
If a link asks you to confirm your e-mail address, that address is recorded too.
What is recorded when someone signs in
People who sign in to DemoVault, Xylem Vue staff and partners, have each sign-in recorded with its time, the IP address of the device and the e-mail address of the account. The browser is not recorded for a sign-in.
The demos themselves
The demos open through DemoVault but are provided by Reprise, the demo platform Xylem Vue uses. While a demo is open, it can set its own cookies and load browser analytics from third parties (such as Datadog and Google Analytics).
Why it is recorded
For security, and so that the person who shared the link knows it was opened.
How long it is kept
The records are kept for one year and are then deleted automatically.
Who sees it
Xylem Vue staff see the details, including the IP address. The partner who shared a link sees only how many times it was opened and when it was last opened.
